Construction of New County Courthouse Begins

The next chapter in downtown Modesto development hit a big milestone with the start of construction for the new Stanislaus County courthouse at the end of December 2021. Construction is estimated to reach completion in December 2024. See the ModBee news article.

The site is approximately 3.5 acres including an entire city block bounded by G and H Streets and 9th and 10th Streets in downtown Modesto. The site also includes a portion of the block bounded by H and I Streets and 9th and 10th Streets for parking.

The authorized project budget is currently stated as $345,355,000 according the project page at courts.ca.gov.
